About

Monica’s practice includes business and commercial litigation, medical malpractice, civil sexual abuse litigation, and other plaintiff cases. Prior to joining Gross & Rooney, Monica practiced in multi-state regulatory & compliance work at Parsons, Behle & Latimer, counseling regional corporate, municipal, and industrial clients in the Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy space.

 

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Monica received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University where she served as President of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, GSU Chapter, Philanthropy Chair for the Environmental Law Society, and Volunteer Coordinator for the Georgia Audubon. During law school, Monica interned in-house with The Coca-Cola Company, Environmental, Safety, and Sustainability Division, and for a boutique law firm in commercial litigation. Monica received a Bachelor’s in Science from The University of Alabama where she completed undergraduate research projects in Ecology, Animal Physiology and Endocrinology, served as Philanthropy Chair in the Honor’s Biology Society, and member of Zeta Tau Alpha. Prior to attending law school, Moncia gained additional business and philanthropic experience working in nonprofit fundraising, sales and marketing, and completed a two-month international volunteer program.

 

Outside of her legal career, Monica coaches spin and group fitness classes and enjoys outdoor recreation with her community, family, and pets, Momo, Appa, and Pepper.

 

Monica is admitted to practice law in Utah and New Mexico as a member of the Utah State Bar and New Mexico State Bar.
